I have the FIA as well.I didn't want to have the snaps on my grill 365 so I bought an "XL" grill off Ebay and drilled the snaps to it.That way I just switch grills in the winter and I'm good to go.

That's essentially what the cold weather kit is for the BPD oil cooler, a fancy t-stat. Blocks the heat exchanger and runs the oil through a bypass line I think. For the low low BPD price of $350.
