Hello all, A few days ago I noticed a loss of power and eventually it died. waited a min started again, drove 40 k home one more stall and loss of power all the way home.
pulled P2290 low HP oil preasure
Waited till next day when it was cold, starts fine runs ok till it warms up then loss of power thing starts.
06 f350 PSD manual trany 270,000km, never chipped, not ran hard, oil and filter changes on time.
Ordered scanguage2 and autoenginuity, will install when I get them.
Today dove into motor, decided to tear it down and do o rings on dummy's, stand piped, STC fitting upgrade, injector o rings, check out IPR etc.
Got down to the IPR, pulled it out, Screen clean... BUT the o ring was split...
Could this be what was causing the loss of oil preasure when it was hot??
With that high of mileage I would actually outright change out the IPR valve itself since you're already down that far into it. I would also have a look/see of the condition of the roller lifters and cam lobes with the high pressure oil pump removed.
Its hard to say if it broke on removal, its possible, it is pretty hard.
At this point im not sure how far to dive into this thing.
I know all the orings should be replaced.
IPR valve?? what do u all think
HPOP??
Can onr get a good look at the cam and lifters with the HPOP out??
