Replacing lockouts due to pas side being stuck. Diver side came right out but the pas side is completly stuck. I have tried all the tricks I could find on here for getting it free.....I have sprayed it with lube a bunch and let it sit for hours, have hit it back and for for about 2-3 hours. The big question I have is can I use a torch and heat it up and see if that will work. Thanks in advance for any help.
It can be stubborn, but it will come out. Use penetrating oil like PB Blaster (not lube like WD-40) ans soak it a few hours. Whack the sides a few times with a mallet, then wiggle and pull.
Also, it's already broken, so use of force isn't going to break it more.
I had the same problem on my 03 driver's side hub.
What I did after a week of hammering was get 4 hose clamps, 1" or 1.5" diameter, and hook them all together to get a single hose clamp with 4 screwheads.
Tighten the hoseclamp assembly to the hub, making sure all 4 screws were roughly 1/4 of the way apart around it.
Take 2 prybars and pry against the hoseclamps directly outward. I used 4 so I could go up down and side to side.
Breaking that corrosion this way made it pop right off.
