2000 V10 Excursion Not Starting
My V10 will not turn over after sitting for a few months. I have heard the motor turn over and it was running before I purchased it. It has a brand new battery and you can hear the starter hit when the key is in the start position, however nothing turns over. So far I removed the serp belt to make sure that none of the components such as A/C comp, etc. are not in a bind and my next move will be to try to turn the crank bolt with a pry bar. Attempting to do so with a 1/2" ratchet did not work. Would it make better sense to remove some or all of the plugs when doing so, or should I use the prybar as is? I am just wondering if anyone else has had issues like this. My next move would be removing the starter and having it tested, however the motor being tight is a concern. It just seems as if the motor is in some sort of a bind. Any comments/advice would be appreciated.
