Annoying square tires

03 with newer ball joints and shocks. Aluminum Ready service body.
I had Cooper tires for the last 5 years... I saw slight shake on the console, but not that bad.
I bought newer Cooper tires (Cooper Discoverer AT3)and when I got on the highway that was newly paved and very smooth, the truck shook more than ever.
I went back and they said I had some bent rims, because of the weight I carry.
I went out and bought new rims and remounted the same tires and it didn't change a thing. The tire shop rebalanced the tires a total of three times while also rotating tires as well and the wheel hopping didn't change at all.
The felling is like when you tow an empty trailer and get bob tail.
I feel it in the seat.
It starts right at 32 MPH then gets a little better and comes on strong again around 60 mph. (I didn't try 120mph yet).
I tried holding the brake and it doesn't change. It seems like more of an issue when its warmed up, but not positive about that.
I have read other treads on this with no conclusion...

This is what you need:

Ride Matching - Simulated Road Testing At Discount Tire

It's important to note that the source of disturbance is something that cannot be sensed during wheel balancing. It is an entirely different problem that necessitates Ride Matching. This process takes a skilled operator approximately twenty minutes to perform on a set of tires and wheels for a vehicle. The result, however, improves ride quality, performance and wear (remember that a smooth riding tire lasts longer).

I just tried putting the truck on blocks, removing tires and still felt the annoying vibration.
Next I pulled rotors and still vibration.
Is there supposed to be a little play in the rubber drive shaft support?

Normally not enough for you to move it around by hand.

I would think you would. Wish I wasnt in dress clothes. I'd try my truck. The rubber is to give it some play. How much slop? I can't really say. My 'not much' could be different than yours

While it's blocked up have an associate work the fuel peddle while you look underneath. With that much hop you should be able to see it by "EYE"

This could be Carrier Bearing related too, center yolk or even drive line.

Update, but still not a clue...
I jacked up the truck and spin the rear wheels, wheels on, then wheels off still
vibrating. I heard a rotor in the rear clicking, so new rotors, calipers, and pads in the rear. Then new carrier bearing and new u joints. Still shaking without any difference.
I did spin it up with only the front section of the drive shaft and the transfer case wobbles. The drive line and transfer case really looks like a poor design.
I might try and change out the transfer case mount next. I would like to find an energy suspension, harder compound type to make it more rigid.
I see and hear of a lot Ford trucks have this vibration that feels like unbalanced tires. Almost everyone I ask, says they feel a vib, like unbalanced tires. To me it feels just like my rear tires are oval.
Buy the way I had these tires balanced 3 - times and swapped rims.
On a slightly bumpy road I don't feel it too much. But when I hit those newly paved roads, the truck shakes. straight, around corners, all speeds.
I am wondering about a good set of shocks and calling it a day!

Sounds like 1 or more of your tires are out of round. I've run into this many times.

Sounds like you've eliminated the drive line and everything that spins. Maybe the Tire Guy was close when he mentioned the weight!!! It would be a lot of work but you could remove the Aluminium Service Body and run it down the road Naked and see if it changes.( Notice I used the word Naked and Body in the same sentence without getting caught

Your Busted Tim,LOL . I know of the ford Rangers that had bad motor mounts, that would make the Engine move around like a fish out of water, the Vibration could be felt at all stages of driving, I have also had a bad set of tires that were warn due to front end alinement and shocks.thought I would throw that out there

Now if I ran the truck on jacks with wheels off and still feel the vibration, how would that be tires?

Hows the Carrier bearing you made note but is that new? may need to pull and spin the drive line or even a joint, is the truck 4x4?
