Oh my baby ....dashboss
Sounds about right. Pulling my 31' 5er last month thru the Eastern Sierras she got 11.6 mpg going and 13.1 mpg on the return trip. 5er is app. 13k loaded. I used the cruise set at 60 mph most of the time wherever possible including on the grades.
I don't have the trip computer, my numbers are hand calculated. My 5er is a tad over 14K and I average 10.0 to 10.5 so far. I've only been from Seattle to Spokane, and Seattle to Phoenix. There's a couple of hills in between.
Well guess I'm alittle jumpy with the problems we have tryed to iorn
out.
Looking into shocks and I guess we will give it
A go owe u all a cold one !!!
Oh sorry for the spell check kinda has a mind
Above and beyond mine!
Mileage is about right. My trlr is 15K 5th wheel. 7K trip this summer. Overall for trip was 10.0mpg, speed generally 60-65mph. Wind, grades, type of road make the most difference. Always tow in tow-haul mode. Only use cruise control if grades are basically level. Two lane highways with small towns, usually kill my mileage. Best mileage always on interstates for me.
ok great i feel better
now about toe mode,,so if I'm not sifting much like mainly flat roads
do i need trailer mode ? i do understand sift points and patterns are different
and then there is the assistance in braking.
I use the tow/haul mode on grades, climbing or descending. Sometimes in heavy traffic. On the highway it's off unless descending and using it for engine braking.
Ok thx again guys is any one pulling around un corked
Lol
In our area they don't check for emissions
It's not my practice but have to admit am toying with the idea
Cat was ruined because of water from egr prob,,,
So duz the stock muffler make that much back pressure ?

Do you see better mpg on flats with TH off?
To OP, I get an average of 11 mpg towing my fifth wheel, approx 12000 pounds. I leave tow haul on 100% of the time, figuring the trans will keep the engine happy while towing, but that's just my thinking... MPG goes down a little on steep mountain passes.
