Well, got the Ex filled with coolant last nigh. Too freek'n cold for that. I put some Diesel kleen in it too. The truck smells like a fuel tank now though. I didn't put the cap back on all the way and spilled some in the cab. Next thing now is putting a hose on the Crank case vent so it isn't venting out the grates next to the windshield anymore.
You still bringing your engine scanner?
Is it hard to do the wires so that the fog lights can be turned on with the parking lights, but without the head lights?
They were nice and bright. I told my guest that my wallet was going to be hurting and I floored it... It made a lot of noise and didn't go much faster... haha.
Thanks for bring the scanner. That thing was a lot bigger than I was expecting it to be. What is with the graphic on the rear corners? If you guys are interested, I have a few ammo cans and have access to more.
Well, had a fun time. Going to have to try the steak there next time. Nice job with that bronco, the pictures here don't give it the full effect. I miss the sound of a naturally aspired V8. I have a coolant tank from the truck that might fit for you, it just has a small pin hole on top.
arg, I can't remember the code from the scanner. I have 05?? in my head and exhaust pressure control something. Still going to take the turbo out and replace some sensors. Truck had an awful droning sound every time I touched the pedal. Tranny was shifting differently too. I think I need to get some audio video of the engine when it does it again and post it in the 7.3l part of the forum.
Well, looks like I am going to be taking the turbo out soon. That code usually means that the sensor is dead, which isn't too surprising with the trucks age. Now I just need to decide if I want to convert to an exhaust break or go to a high flow outlet.
I need to get a backup camera for mine. You can't see anything when backing up the excursion. And the thing is so big that half the time you don't realize you hit anything.
Thanks, the bronco is like my child, I love it to death. Sometimes it makes me angry but I'll have it forever. There are a ton of things I'd like to do to it but they will all have to wait till I fix what's important. Then I can move to the fun stuff. If I ever have children they will know how a truck from 1978 works a day they will learn to drive in it too.
