2005 Escape: Front End Knock
SYMPTON 1: When moving from concrete driveway parking to hard-pack dirt entrance, the front end 'knocks' (feel it in steering wheel)
SYMPTON 2: When braking from highway speed to exit highway, front end knocks/rattles (feel it in steering wheel)

Probably original struts
DRIVER
Minimal mechanic knowledge...basic oil change and fluids...very minor "hardware" knowledge
SOLUTIONS? IDEAS? RECOMMENDATIONS?

I said sway at links but the saw you changed them. I would look at struts. If possible have someone walk by the truck when entering the driveway - if it happens at a slow enough speed of course.
