Well I just saved a '94 4.9L from the recycling center. As far as i can tell the EFI is all there. Got the E4OD and converter as well. Not a real big fan of automatics, to be honest. Engine has 108k miles, just broke in. The vehicle was scrapped because of weak oil pressure at start up. Most likely Fibro gunk. I really dont know much about the straight 6's. But $150 was hard to turn down.

Now for the down side... i have nothing to put it in LOL.

We (she) decided she wants a classic of her own to drive around. The 300-6 was the only engine I as going to let her have. Any hot rod engine, she would most likely kill herself with.

We have 2 options thus far, a NON ford truck. Im going to check out a 55 International R120 3/4 ton. 6 lug rims. Yeah like 7 hours from now!. It runs and drives so no engine swap anytime soon. But the 4.9 and the extra ZF'42 i have lying around would be nice. Which means we have time to rebuild and get it ready. Assuming this efi works ok without an auto transmission plugged in. Maybe a dummy plug of some sorts?

Option 2 is a 37 Studebaker Commander 4 door. Narrow engine compartment, not even going to try and cram a v8 in there. Zf wont fit by any means. T5 might work or dimensionally small auto trans(sacrifices). Cause the E4OD is anything but small.

Either vehicle will get Fordized. The wife really wants the truck. I dont blame her, it is sexy. Oh and yes the 55 IH is a split window. You just dont see them. We only have room for one vehicle. Dont have the cash or garage room for 2 more projects. but one more we can do .
