Does anybody know if you can find out the options and specs on a vehicle with just the VIN? I know I can get an Oasis but I think that just includes repairs. I am trying to find out the complete specs and build on a truck. Any help is appreciated.
If it's a ford I know for a fact you can call them and they will tell you everything about your vehicle with JUST the VIN. Not sure how far back they go can, but I know they can do it on the newer vehicles.
I am interested in this as well. I tried the previous two links and they both said they couldn't find mine. I am just curious if there is a way to figure out what rear end differential I have in my truck using my VIN. I have a 1997 F250 Heavy Duty and I think it's either a 3.55 or a 4.10. I am sorry if I ever say anything that is obviously incorrect. I am new to trucks so please correct me if I am wrong.

You just have to look at the sticker on the door jamb under axle code then in the owners manual there is a list of what the codes mean. if you don't have a manual google it or look on the rear axle there is a tag on one of the bolts on the diff cover that has the info on it.
