I've tried searching the site but can't find what I'm looking for. Can someone tell me what bolts I need to remove to remove the bed from my 52F1? I've removed the rear fenders to make the bed lighter but only want to remove the bolts I need to, to enable freeing the bed from the frame. Also any idea how heavy the bed is?
Thanks for the help.
If you still have the bed wood attached you can try to unbolt the 2 rear crossmembers from both sides of the frame from underneath. There is also 2 spots in the front by the cab that are bolted to the frame. And I believe there is also a angle piece right under the tailgate on each side that will need to be unbolted. Weight wise I would guess around 250-300 but it will be awkward to lift without help.
thanks for the reply, I think that might be the bolts I removed but it wont budge. It has very old plywood for the floor. Someone in the past might have modified it. I was going to try to remove somehow by myself not sure how yet.
53OTM has it, here's a pictorial. You need to leave the crossmember in place. Here's also a good way to lift, you can use eyebolts in the 4 center bolt holes and a cherry picker.
