exhaust

I have a 49 F1 with a 5.0 and a Mustang 11 rack. Can anyone tell me what you did for exhaust? I do not know what headers to use or did you just use stock exhaust manifolds?
Thanks

stock headers from donor

I have same setup on my '50 F1; I used the exhaust manifolds from my 1990 donor. I didn't have any issues with clearance; my steering just clears them though. I was going to do my own exhaust with a Summit kit but had a muffler shop do them instead. They installed an X pipe and duals out the back. Looks and sounds great; used MagnaFlow stainless mufflers.

I'm using 65-66 Mustang exhaust manifolds on my 302 with Volare front suspension. They aren't high performance but work well around the big steering Chrysler steering box...
