ok to start off with, i had just put a 351efi windosr out of a 90's f150. the junkyard i bought it off of said that it had 70k miles and that it had a 155 compression test over all. I did my own timming chain wear check and it wrote up under one degree of none movement. so i did not rebuild it but only changed seals and dropped it into my bronc. when i was changing the valve seals i noticed it was really gunky(not burnt or anything like that) so i just cleaned it off.
well i have just got it running, i cannot drive it yet becasue the local exsahst shop cannot get to it till next week. it idles great and dose not studder when reved.
but i have noticed that there is a strange sound comming from the passinger side. kinndof a consistant slight rattle. like it only does it when one of the back cilinder fires.
does anybody think its anything to worry about? like i said i cannot drive it to see if it will go away, i man it probably was sitting for a long time.
am i worrinig about nothing? i would just wait and see what will hapen but the engines warrenty wares out in a few weeks.
but hey, this is just a wild guess, but could it be doing this because i have not wired up an O2 censor in yet? i have herd a rumor that it could do that.
