Thanks for the replies, I appreciate that. I got the updated plug, but now i face the problem of getting my old one out. It is rounded out and i just tried JB weld on it let it set over night, came out today and the weld wouldnt hold. So now im not sure what else to try. I dont want to replace the whole filter housing down there. Just dont have the means right now. Any other input is appreciated.
Some people here have removed the cover and done it on the work bench. I've been lucky and the screw came out easily. It has a O ring, old and new, and they don't need to be torqued very tight.
Where can I find the updated fuel filter drain plug? Anyone have a part number or where I can get it?
Ford dealer parts depts around my area have a little advertisement display for them at the counter. Never enquired about the price as I already have one .... but you could try there.
