I Have A 2013 F250 I Have A H&S On It. I Have It Delete. And The Cel Comes On In The Morning, Ill Get The Code In The Morning. But It Has Something To Do With Coolant Temp Sensor. It Also Does Like A Bucking/Power Surge. Boost Goes From 0-10-15 ,WhenU HoldPedal Steady. Do I Need To Update My H&S Or What?
It sounds to me like you should revert to stock to troubleshoot this. Aftermarket tuners can sometimes make it hard to diagnose an issue because sometimes glitches in aftermarket programming can cause the issue. Go back to stock, rule that out, and see how it runs.
Also, if i put it back to stock ill have to put the dpf back on.. Not really want to do that.
Your call, but without taking this first step any kind of real troubleshooting will be very difficult at best. That's a risk you take when you tune the truck.
Ok finally got the chance to get the coffee. Its p2182 engine coolant temp sensor 2 circut. My truck is deleted. Any ideas what this would be
It's on the EGR coolant temp sensor. Since the tuning disables the EGR, the sensor is dead. You need to update your tuning version from H&S. They addressed this shortly after releasing the 2013 tuning, I had the same thing.
Ok i haven't deleted the egr yet. I plan on it. So should i wait to update. And how do i update it. My tuner is a street tuner. That has a unlock code. it wont mess it up if i update will it?
If you are running it unlocked the EGR is already disabled, that's why the sensor is basically 'dead' to the system and needs to be told that it's ok to be disregarded - which will prevent the code. It doesn't matter if the EGR is physically removed or not, and the update will not affect the unlocked tuning or make you lose the capability. And it wouldn't hurt to regularly check out H&S updates, whether you download them on new MicroSD cards to keep an older version or not.
I didnt install the tranny tunes. But i had read about the learning but haven't done it. How should i do it?
#1. Follow instructions.
#2. Follow instructions.
The manual shows you what you should have unplugged for the EGR with pictures for locations. Two orange(ish) ones, and a black one.
You don't need to install transmission tuning, but you are delivering a substantial increase in an 'unknown' power curve affecting shift points and firmness through it that needs to be managed. It will be adapted over time, but following the guidelines for 0-80mph at the 0, 25%, 50%, WOT runs will help it understand the changes. This is a suggestion from me since you are freshly tuned and have not done it yet. This may or may not help what you are describing.
What level of power are you running? And you're sure you changed it to high sulphur tuning with the DPF gone? Since the manual was vaguely followed...
Yes it has the high sulfur tuning on it. I bought my h&s used, so sadly no Manuel..... Iv read on some sites that say not to unplug it with it still on the truck. As for the transmission learming. I do 3 runs? One 25% one 50 and one 100? That's what iv read on it. So i didnt do anything.
