Dave, I would figure out if it were restorable, if I wanted to restore it, or if it is a parts truck. I can't get the small pictures to enlarge. Engine free? How long since it ran? How far down in the red clay has it actually sunk? Does the owner want to sell it or is he fishing for offers?
The asking price for '56 doors is $1K per pair for just decent doors that need work. My offer would be somewhere between $500. and a couple thousand, depending on sheetmetal condition. If it is a solid truck, my offer would go up.
