Question on chip/tuners....
I bought a early model 99 F250 SD about a year ago. Has a small harness of about three or four wires coming out from under the hood which is bolted to the driver side under dash kick panel. The wires are cut off at the end and I'm assuming they went to a switch for a chip. How would I check to see if the chip is still in the truck? I doubt that it is since if they took the switch I imagine they'd take the chip too. Where would I look for the chip?

if you are talking about the red, blue, white and black wires, they are called "pass through wires" and were added by ford so you could add features without having to drill the firewall to put wires through.
