Took the steering column apart as I was sure I had an actuator problem. I had turned the van off, had the keys in my hand and to my surprise the van was still running!!! The actuator looked good so all I changed was the ignition lock. Put it all back together and now it won't turn over. I turn it to the run position and get a click, starter solenoid I think. I'm wondering if it is the ignition switch. Or could it be the drive gear and upper actuator not lining up so that it engages correctly? All I know at this point is that it worked BEFORE I fixed it. I read on another post to make sure the last tooth on the gear must engage the last tooth on the actuator for correct installation. Help if you can.

Exactly, the gears must be aligned so that when you turn the drive gear which is attached to the lock cylinder it turns the upper actuator far enough to engage both the ignition on and start position, the upper actuator is not turning far enough because the gears are not aligned correctly..
