Child safety car seats

Anyone have a problem with changing your carseat from rear facing to front facing? We wan to keep the kiddo in the middle but the seat has to sit straight up and down. It won't fit if you want it (the child seat) to recline whatsoever.
Thanks,
Craig

I have thought of that too. Now we have a Recaro rear-facing infant seat (Young Profi Plus) on an ISO-FIX base. When the boy is around 8-9months we will have a front facing Recaro child seat (Young Expert Plus) which uses the same base and is reclining at least a bit. This seat can be used until he is about 4 yrs.

We want to have the kid in the middle seat as long as possible. Friends told me that their boy would sleep best when reclining the seat something. Same boy is now 5 and his feet are hitting the middle console when he wants to and is travelling with us.

I think at 4 or 5 my son will tell my where he wants to sit and what seat he likes best (my guess is that he wants to sit at the window, far away from mom´s or dads reach)
