I have a 01 f250 Sd gas w 82,000 miles on it love the truck but I have recently put 3 coils 6,8 and # 2 today in the last 5 months. Idk what could be eating these coil packs up anybody have any answer on why this is happening w less then 1,000 miles???

It is true that moisture (like engine washing) can cause arcing and damage the coils. Another reason is "too large of a spark plug gap" . Since the spark has to jump a larger gap , the coil overheats and gets destroyed .
You have not mentioned if your spark plugs (and rubber boots ) ever been replaced . If not, you may want to consider .
over the past year and 1/2 i have replaced 6 of the coils on my 99 crown vic with 63,000 miles on it. and yesterday i started getting a random miss telling me i have another one going out.
it happens as the get older.
