Engine/Tranny interchange

My questions are :

Will a 240,351w or 302 Bolt up to my 4 Speed in a 85 f150 with a 300 ?

2)Will I have to change brackets, mounts, or will it drop right in?

Anyone know ?

240, 300, late 289, 302, 351w, 351c all have the same bellhousing pattern. You will need to grind the six brackets off the frame and use v8 brackets and the corresponding v8 truck motor mounts(rubber). Also special to the 80-up v8's in trucks:

Rear sump oil pan
exhaust manifolds
thermostat neck(this can be rigged with a different hose though

The radiator has the tanks reversed for V-8s too, so you'll need a replacement.
