Hello from Alberta

Wife and I just moved to Alberta onto an acreage. We though we could get by with our Toyota Matrix, but it's obvious after being on the acreage for a couple of months that we're going to need a truck.

Don't have a particular preference to which of the big three to go with, so I'm basing it on what I see up at Fort McMurray. Pretty much all the trucks / rentals used are Ford ... or at least that's what it seems like. I'm assuming there's a reason for that???

Never having had a truck before, I'll have lots of questions for you guys. See you on the boards.

Welcome aboard good neighbour Al!
The reason you see most Fords trucks on job sites is that they are real work trucks and can take the abuse handed out better than the others.
Check out the FTE forums Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums - Ford truck and SUV owners and enthusiasts Community And Information Source. , for some advice for your purchase such as the Car/truck Buying Advice forum Car/truck Buying Advice - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums
