Water Level in New Everstart 65N Battery

I just bought two new 65N Everstart batteries for my 1999 Powerstroke from Walmart. The water level is only about 1/8" above the plates. Do you guys recommend adding distilled water? I used to fill to the bottom of the plastic tube which would mean that I need to add about 3/8" to 1/2" to each cell. All the cells were evenly filled so I left it alone for now. Thanks in advance for your advice.

How old are the batteries? Couldn't hurt to add distilled water. I just replaced a set of Everstart batteries in the 05. Thought I'd give them a try since I had good luck with their motorcycle batteries. Lasted 42 months. I got about 52 months out of the OEM Motorcrafts. Went with the Deka 665 this time. Now those are batteries.

If the specific gravity is okay the water level is okay as long as it is covering the plates.

Thanks guys for the advice. Both batteries are brand new. I didn't check the specific gravity. The truck fired right up so I guess that I am good for now. I am heading up elk hunting soon so I will find out how it does in cold weather. I will repost if I have any issues.
