It's the Internet forum effect.
People who have problems post about them to solve them or just to complain. People who are happy much more rarely take the time to post about it.
A lot of the Raptor guys have them. You can even purchase one sort of factory from the dealer that Roush has partnered with Ford on.
I installed the ProCharger myself and then took down to Livernois to make the dyno tune. Power is amazing but with traction control and all of the Nani's on the truck it is drivable on the street without any problems.
No to hijack this thread but I am also curios, lots of us have talked about ti but you are the first person I have heard of thats done it.
You have to run premium?
Do you tow with it?
Any issues?
How much boost?
It may be best to start a thread about your mod....the good the bad....I would definitely like to read about it.
I love my 6.2 but I am a power junkie...if I can have more then I aim to get it. I would have got a 6.7 but my driving habits i think may cause more problems than I want.
I'd like to hear more about the supercharger mod to the 6.2 also.
I find it interesting that of the two kits I am aware of on the market today, both of them are *less expensive* than ordering the 6.7 diesel engine option from the factory.
I only have 3,000 miles on it - but so far it's great.
I had 2 Dodge Rams withe the Cummins - great trucks - just too expensive any more, the initial cost of the engine and the added cost of the fuel and maintenance, it just didn't make any sense.
I really like my 6.2 power wise. But the truck itself is anything but well built. The Nav System/ premium sound system as a $3200.00 option (canadian) is not worth 20 bux IMO, the build quality is laughable at best with all the rattles etc. My 30k 09 Escape is far better built than this truck is. The thump in the front end when engaging 4wd (Normal according the owners manual). But it looks kinda cool and the seats are quite comfy. Again it does pull very well just kinda disappointed in the quality as the 08 - 10's IMO were far better built.

Ok so now 2 of you that have supercharged the 6.2 in an SD have surfaced....you and Cparks and I have not seen any threads on this
Could either one of you please start a new thread regarding supercharging.....
I would rather not totally kill the OP thread.
I wanna hear about the power increase, mpg...cost etc......if it is truly cheaper than the diesel option...plus no emissions crap like a 6.7 and no DEF and most likely just less problems over all

Thats interesting you say you think its not built well....a few others have also said the same. I think the fit and finish is great. My truck is very quiet and comfy....I had a rattle develop......took it to the dealer and they replaced a rear body bushing......no more rattle.
I also thought the nav system was somewhat cheesy and I did not think it was worth what they were charging for it so I opted out. I am wondering if they have improved it for the '14 models.?
I have no complaints at all with mine. Power is what I expected, and fit and finish is great. Very solid and smooth. No rattles etc, and (so far), none of the trans shifting issues I've heard about. Very solid towing my 7K trailer. I considered an EcoBoost, but wanted the payload the SD gives, and I'm now confident I made the right decision. Had 1 1/2 yards of topsoil in in Sunday and barely knew it was there. Having the heavier componants (ie- brakes, dif, axles, etc, etc), is well worth it.
Supercharger- Meh. Cost $7,000 just for the Rousch kit, excluding installation, and I'm not sure if that includes a tune. So IMHO the diesel makes more sense in a SD, unless you just want to go fast (and burn a lot of premium fuel doing it).
These are my likes about my 2012 F250: the power (it feels like a diesel compared to my 05 Silverado with a 5.3 and a 4spd) it just chugs along in fifth and sometimes drops to fourth pulling my 5500# trailer, the mirrors are great (as a matter-a-fact they are almost too wide even in all the way).
My dislike is the seat/steering wheel. I have short legs with a long body. It seems no matter how I adjust the seat and steering wheel I am not comfortable. The only way I am comfortable is to use the cruise control and that is not practical in town.
But still it is worth having.

Correct me if I am wrong but the superchargers are designed for the 6.2L Raptor motor NOT the 6.2L Super Duty motor. The block might be the same, but I think that's it. Different intake, exhaust, heads...........

If I gave the impression that I supercharged my Ford or anything like that - I did not mean to because I have not.
I was responding to the OP about hearing negativity - I was simply trying to share my truck experience - that I previously had 2 Dodge 2500 with the Cummins engines and that now I have the Ford 6.2 and although I only have around 3,000 miles on it - so far it is a great truck. Sorry if I caused any confusion.
