I am looking at winch bumpers for my 1994 F150. I am finding very few options. Can any of you fellas recommend a specific brand or style or is it worth attempting to make my own?
Well if you check on Ebay and search "Winch Bumper" You get over 2500 hits, you might look there to see the different styles available, I know I would probably just pick up a Warn Bumper and run it.
There's nothing on Ebay with a winch spot for our trucks. I have been searching for the last 3 weeks for a grill guard or winch bumper for my '94 F150 and accept for Ranch Hand, there's not a whole lot out there. The ones I have found are typically about $1k for a real good one. Your best bet would be to make your own, or find somewhere local to make you one exactly like what you want.
You guys do realize, that many of those sellers are showing bumpers on one vehicle and have models that fit other vehicles, you need to send them a note and let them know what truck model you have and they will let you know if they have one. Like I said, I would go with a warn, they are expensive, but they are bullet proof, of course you could go directly to warn's website and order directly from them as well.
Here is the link to the Warn website, that has their transformer system:
Nice looking bumper and not out of line at the price they are asking.
Agreed.. I don't think the price in unreasonable but its just going to take me some time to come up with it due to other higher prioritiy issues with the truck.
