Got the Fuel regulator in today finally. I stayed late at the shop, and will pry try and get some other projects done as well.
Special thanks to Bill (ReBilld) and Aaron (Fordman67) who without them I wouldn't have recieved a new to me regulator. Thanks again guys you rock! I seriously don't have the right words to say how truly grateful I am for your help and generosity. If you all think of it give these guys a rep!
Heres some pics of what I found when I pulled the old one out. I don't know if a guy could take and fix it some how so you could use it, cause I don't think there is anything else wrong with it.

Also changed my fuel filter while I was in there. The PO did every oil change I thought that was a touch overbored, so I think I'll do every other maybe. Sure did look good an clean in the bowl. What do you all think of the filter?

The new filter was one piece but this one was different, it actually came apart from the housing. I tried finding a brand but I couldnt decyfer any of the markings on it.
Only had to take the regulator back out once cause there was another o-ring on the fuel bowl (maybe that was the one that I destroyed in the kit cause I wasn't sure where it went ) but overall it was a pretty easy job to do. Looks like the rest of the bowl is tight so I'm not gonna touch it for now. Maybe down the road E-fuel will be in my future, but for now I'm gonna keep it how it is so long as its all working.

Reason: my poor spelling
That is good. We were concerned a while back about some injector o-rings (which it still probably needs) but they said it could turn the filter black. So just curious. The fuel looked real clean.
Thomas, what was the problem again? Sorry, I don't remember. Was it idle issues? That fuel bowl looks great. I am going to tackle mine here pretty soon. I hope mine looks half that good.
My regulator was leaking I couldn't see quite where. Aaron sent me one and I just finally got it in. I have the actual thread called raw fuel smell. I wasn't sure weather to add to that thread or start a new one. The idle issues I still haven't done anything with. I just changed the oil and that seemed to help some. We will see. Based on how clean my fuel bowl was my orings can't be too bad. I think I'll re do them next spring.
Nooooo!!! I want to pull my fuel bowl just to clean the valley and install the new o-rings, but I am afraid as to what will happen! It BARELY leaks now. I am afraid I will open a floodgate if I take it off of there.
It would be a good learning experience. In theory it's not difficult to do, but I think like you do. Only reason I tore those apart is cause I was left with no choice.
I hear ya. I have the O-Ring kit with the 3 replacement hoses from Diesel O-Rings....just hafta do it. What about draining and refilling the fuel bowl? Difficult? Does air get in the system?
I hate to hear you still got a leak. It sucks when you think you have fixed something....then you find another issue.
When was the last time you had your fuel bowl completely off the truck. The reason I am asking last year when I change out the fuel filter it looks just like yours in the above picture....filter an all
I had no clue as to how much crap was in my fuel bowl until I removed it and started turning it every which way to drain out the fuel.
I did not remove the filter until I had it off the truck and saw all that mess running out of the fuel line ports.....I did open the yellow drain while it was on the truck.
Now that I am the official owner of the worst fuel bowl ever seen on this site.....I just want to keep it...
I have never had it off. I have only owned the truck for a couple of months. I did see your fuel bowl, that's a mess! I did however just have that regulator off and it looked clean as a whistle.
I can't remember where I heard it but someone said that it's not a matter of if you have a fuel leak but when you have a fuel leak in regards to the powerstroke.
