Over the last 3 months I began getting the TPS warning light on the dash if I drove more than 30 minutes. Truck never had driving issues, but I changed the TPS and pedal assembly anyways. Warning light would still appear. Over the last 3 days the RPM's would surge while driving, especially at stop lights. They would go down, never surge up. The problem got worse and this morning I pulled into my trusted mechanic. He said, I have no idea, take it to Ford. I go to leave and now the truck won't start.
I believe it is a wiring problem. Is there a place where the wiring harness for the TPS rubs and grounds out on a usual basis? Or, does anybody else have any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated, as I currently have a really nice lawn ornament.

There actually is a spot where a wiring harness rubs on/near the steering column, here is a link to the common wire chafe points, it is located in the PDF manual link in the tech folder, https://www.ford-trucks.com/ford-man...re_chafing.pdf
