On the Scab rear doors, when you roll down the windows, you get all sorts of buffeting, unless you roll the front door windows down as well. Anyone have a solution to this? It would be nice to just have the rear windows open. Would a set of vent shades take care of the buffeting?
You referring to the " helicopter effect" that occurs with just the rear windows down? I noticed it a little bit with my mother in laws '12 screw eb, with hers I just opened the rear slider a bit, but am I remembering a topper on your truck? Some SUVs are really bad in that scenario, and there's no good fix.
There is not too much you will be able to do about it. It is called Helmholtz Resonance...here's a link to read about it.

The window vent shades work f you are only going to lower the window down a little bit. IMO smkers benefit the most from these ...as they really don't let all that much air in.
Haven't found a solution, i just roll the fronts down some too.
Yep, Rob's got it. Crack just one of the fronts to relieve the pressure. IIRC it's the thin-ish roof that is causing most of the displeasure. I typically crack the passenger front about a half inch or so and it stops. Opening the slider (if you have one in the back glass) does help too.
window vents will help only if your rears are cracked a little, and same with the fronts. but it sounds like you have them rolled down quite a ways down, so no they wont help.
Thanks for the replies guys, somehow I totally lost track of this thread.
Yepper Chad, it does have a cap, and no slider.
So, it looks like it's just something to be lived with. I have rolled the front windows down, and noticed the buffeting stopped. This is the first truck I've ever had with roll down windows in the back, the others just flipped out, if they moved at all.
I've got that article bookmarked, and plan on reading it later on.
