Judging by the build sheet and manuals, the truck is a 1988 MY.

My driver's seat is already pretty darn nasty, so it is going to need foam and covering.

I replaced the air cleaner simply because I found a much nicer unit at the JY. It is cleaner, less dents and less surface rust. I have not replaced the booster yet, but I am dubious of the current unit's condition, so I am not sure if I will need to replace it.

Thanks for all your input!

Today I bought a all fresh coolant, so I will drain, flush and replace tomorrow.

I had to go pick up the wife in mine. She went for a run and after 15+ miles didn't feel like running back to the excursion so i gave her a ride back

Next time she wants to ride in the truck, tell her to just ask!

Drained, flushed and refilled my coolant with the right stuff. All that came out was pure WATER... Glad I caught that in time. My truck only has 139k on it and runs fine. No more risk of cavitation now.

Washed it too.

A little peace of mind means a lot.

Amen to that. She only has 139k on her so she has a lot of good life left in her.

Finished putting the truck back together after replacing the clutch. Not sure what was in there, but it looked like a China special and it had grenaded the friction disc assembly. Thankfully it had been converted to SMF so I only needed a replacement Luk clutch and flywheel grind.

Not the most fun job in the world but it sure is nice to be able to effortlessly change gears again. It's going to take a while to get used to the lighter pedal feel, I kind of miss the stiff pedal!

Tossed a set of gooseneck mirror heads on my stock western brackets. I wanted to put the right brackets on but the ones I have are from a van so they don't fit right.

As long as they don't wobble too bad I'll keep them this way for a while. It's nice to be able to see behind me!

Between that and the reverse lights I wired up yesterday, I might be able to back up at night now! The last picture is sitting in the driver's seat looking in the old mirrors.

For kicks and wiggles, tried to do a burnout, and was pleasantly surprised! I did not expect it to work. Also cleaned about 1/4" of grime out from under the hood.

Must have been some sweet burnout if it cleaned grime from under the hood! Sorry I couldn't resist!

I wish it worked that way! Took me 2 hours and three cans of Gunk to even figure out what color the engine originally was. Thing was, and still is somewhat, FILTHY!
