So I finally signed up!!!
Hi there. I just wanted to introduce myself. I recently bought my first truck ever and absolutely love driving it. It's a 1973 F350 Custom.
I really appreciate all the members of this site. So much information out there! and as I'm not the most mechanically inclined! it's been a huge help.
About my truck, I found it on Auto-trader. I bought it from a nice gentleman in Gibsons, BC. He acquired it from the Nanaimo Fire Dept. The truck was stationed on a very small island called Protection Is. It was a volunteer fire fighters truck for 39 years. In those 39 years it racked up a whopping 28,000 miles.
Apart from the scratches and the little dents, it's in amazing shape. Very little rust. And it runs like a top. Everything works!!!
After a few weeks of driving, it started to stall on me when breaking for tragic lights. A can of fuel additive, a new air filter, a can of carb cleaner and a new fuel filter fixed that quick. It drives like a truck with 28,000 miles again.
Anyways. I'm on this site daily now. I'm looking for odds and ends for it. So you'll see me around.

Hi Donkey and welcome to FTE. You seem to be joining the club here of new members that have found older Fords with very little mileage and in very good shape.
You will like FTE, there are a lot of good fols here that are more than willing to share thier knowledge and pics of their Fords! You may also wants to join the BC chapter and meet your fellow FTE members from BC.
Don't forget to add some pics of your truck to your Garage so we can have a look see at your truck. Hope you enjoy your new ride and we will see you in the forums!
