Lightbulb Performance! from 351w 4x4 84 bronco?

Right! I've had some problems with my bronco, which I've spent time and money fixing... and now its all fixed and running well. now I've got nothing to do... and I've got itchy fingers, and luckily I've got about , 5000 AUD, or 3,356.29 US dollars to use in making my girl go faster.

I reckon you guys must be old hands in making f100's and broncos go harder & faster, so any suggestions are welcome.

specs:
1984 Ford Bronco XLT 351w
750 holely vac:sec
84 351w
np208
8.8 diff's
LPG / Petrol duel fuel conversion
GT40-R ignition coil.

standard everything else.

suggestions?

Depends how wild you want to go, Theres upgrades from Cams, heads and the way up to a blower? go to www.summitracing.com or www.jegs.com They should have most all the Performance stuff you find.

I'd spend it on bumpers, a winch, a welding alternator, an air compressor, suspension upgrades (to carry the weight), 33" tires, and a GPS. If you have anything left over, add laser weapons - they're always fun.

Performance! from 351w 4x4 84 bronco?

hehe thanks quadhunter... and steve

I want to know what I can do to the engine to get her moving along faster off the line etc.
I'll be more specific about the engine...
1984 351w w/LPG-Petrol conversion
standard 351w bronco extractors, grind, cam, crank, rods, heads.

already got a pretty darn big Bumper/bull-bar/roo-bar on the front.
got CB with PA system, CD player & amp, 120 Ltr LPG, 70 Ltr Petrol. original paint job, still looking great.

here in Australia you can get a supercharger kit that fits F100/Broncos for just under 5k fitted... but that means I lose LPG & 750 holley, which i dont want to lose.

What sorts of things can I do/have done to my 351w to lift performance/power?
or... what would *you* do if this was your truck and you had $3,356.00 US to play with?

I did cam, manifold, carb, headers, ( i also live in a non-emissions area) and took all the emissions stuff off. The Stock cam lacks a lot, due to emissions controls in 84....we lost a lot of performance out of the 351. The Headers and a new exhaust system will help you out even more on gaining some power increase. Are you an off-road enthusiast? or mainly looking for street performance???

if I wanted it quicker off the line, I'd add lower gears which will get ya up and rolling faster with more pull, but you'll lose top end speed. which top end don't matter for my bronco since it's a mud toy, the lower gears gives me the power down low where i need it. which would fall in any 4x4 i owen. but if you do so make sure they work well with the motor mods you've already done. then add a good locker to help keep power planted.
