Does anyone know when the electric locking differential engages of the new powerstrokes? I was told to ask from a friend. He says most elocks only engage in 4lo. He is a Nissan Titan guy so I thought I would throw it out on here since I am going to be purchasing a 2013 F-250 Diesel in the near future.
If it's the same as on my 2011 gas the e-lock is manual. You pull the 4x4 **** towards you instead of rotating towards 4x4 or 2x4. You will see a light in the dash indicating when the e-lock is on as it disengages at higher speeds. It work in 4x2 or 4x4; have not tried 4x4 low yet but I expect it works there too.
Not recommended for turning on pavement.

Seriously, did your friend just compare a Super Duty to a Nissan Titan?
