Do I Need This Tool?

I was looking around Pawn Shops for tools today. I came across a tool that appears to test the pressure inside the cooling system of a car. I think it was made by Matco. It seemed well made. It appeared to be a small hand pump conected to a hose that had an attachment that looked quite like a radiator cap on it. I am looking to buy a used car soon. Will this tool help tell me if the coolant system is working properly? Should I go back and pick it up? I think the price was like $100.

It's only used to pressurize the cooling system to test for leaks, or to see if the system will hold pressure. There should also be an adapter to attach a radiator cap to the pump so you can test the cap, too.

I doubt you'd get $100 worth of use out of it since a new cap is only $4 and you can get a shop to put the gauge on your truck for free.

Thanks. It did have the extra thing with it as well. For some reason I cannot get a shop to do ANYTHING for free for me down here. They see me coming and go cha-ching. That's why I am looking at things like this tool. I suspect you are correct about not getting my money out of the tool, though. Thanks.
