Here's a Fall progression series. (with crappy cell phone camera...) These are Scarlet Maples we planted along the driveway:
Its been in the low 40's in the AM and up in the high 70's in the day, but with low Rh and lots of sun. Its easy to see why I love living here!!
I'm willing to share though!! Y'all are welcome to come up here for an FTE get together. We have a firepit gazebo, a gameroom with pool table, air hockey... Plenty of room to camp too!!
Spent Saturday on the lake with my boys and the kids (my boys and nieces) had their 'Fall Festival on the Lane' yesterday. We all live on Sweetheart Lane... There was leaf collection to make piles to play in, pumpkin carving, apple carving, art projects and general outside play - usual stuff, its just gets a name today!
The leaves are starting to turn
Sounds like you got it made man! I had to go to an air show Saturday and ride my dirt bike all day Sunday.. Now I'm all sun burnt and sore. Why do I have so many problems in my life!?
The wife, kiddo and myself went to Winder and I drove the motorhome back to the house yesterday. I had to bleed the brakes before we left and I had a flat but it sure was one long day of driving. The wife likes it up there with the hills and stuff, alot different than living down here in the flat lands.

I thought that you already had a motorhome. What did you do, get another one? Or just take the one you have up to the mountains for some R&R?
Sounds like a dream. What a GREAT weekend for outdoor activities. I would like to get a little camper soon. I'd REALLY like an in bed/over the cab camper.. Just wish I had a place to keep one. Other then in the bed of my truck 24/7.. Sometimes I really hate the city..
Grubb,
I took the motorhome up to Winder in April when I started working up there and have been living in ti during the week. I left the motorhome in Winder when I got done working up there 2 weeks ago. I had to go back up there to finish up some stuff and we went back to get it. I did not want to go thru the hassel of renting a dolly and pulling the car back on a sunday. I could not leave it up there while I am deployed.
Hey Guys,
We finished weapons training this week and we drew our new uniforms. They are the cool Multi-cam style. I had to put a radiator in the Camaro today since it started leaking last week. I had to also put front brakes on the DD. Trying to make sure all the maintenance stuff is up to date on the vehicles before I deploy.

Right on. Most of us will never know what that means, but I can imagine its stressful getting ready to leave. Thank you for your service Chief!! (and Mrs Chief! )
Thanks Jason,
It is stressful but I love my job and I have a great Mrs Chief that stands behind me. She is one tough cookie and keeps things going smoothly while I am off playing war. Hopefully this will be the last deployment for a while.
Sounds like everybody is having lots of fun, sorry I haven't checked in in a while. Been busy with running the shop, as well as, family life. We have decided to buy a house (ours is just getting to small). The joys of house shopping. Hoping to be in one by Christmas.
Southern,
I more than know your pain about being busy and I understand. Oh the joys of house hunting, the wife will start looking right before I get back next year. I am almost to the point of just buying the land and having a house built, unless the perfect one pops up right before I get home.
