Question Rear axle ratio

Can anyone tell me how to determine what axle ratio a Ford F-150 has? I'm looking at 1998-2001. I know there is a code on the door jamb but I don't know what it means. I wonder if one can determine the ratio from the VIN no., which is handy when the truck isn't open. Thanks

You should have a complete Ident sticker on the door jamb or something.
I'm not sure with these new ones.

Post the info here and we'll decode it for you.

The VIN won't tell you. You need the door jamb codes.

The truck is locked up? Crawl underneath and read the tag on the pumpkin. It might be a pain but it usually works.
