Hey Guys,
i've been trying to get someone to calibrate my speedo for a while with out a lot of luck. I've realized that it is super simple to do now, my problem is i can't find a parts place with the gear and the dealer only has part numbers that don't say how many teeth the gear has. Does anyone happen to have the ford part number for a C6 16 tooth speedo gear????
i've already checked the phone book and they all went out of business in my area apparently. I have it calculated to get the speed almost exact, with in a half or one mile per hour.
The problem is that none of the parts stores in the area can get me the gear. I've tried some of the best in the area. The dealer has the gears, but they olny have the part numbers and they do not tell how many teeth they are. They also refuse to get any of them in with out knowing the exact one since they then have to put it on the shelf if it's not it.
If anyone would happen to have the part number or a source i can mail order the gear, it would be great. thanks!
Can you desribe exactly what your gear looks like. I have a 30 year old dealers parts book that shows all of the speedo gears and ford part numbers. An old part number might help you the dealer should be able to use them.
What if your truck is a 4-wheel drive and the speedo gear is in the transfer case? Mil1ion provided great links. Anyone have the same info for lets say a NP205?
