I am working on an 06' 6.0 diesel. It has a no start when hot problem. had 3 injector top seals leaking. Replaced all 8 and all 8 nipple cup seals. Also put in new stand pipes and dummy plugs. I removed the sensor from the passenger oil rail and connected 120psi of shop air pressure and hear a hissing. It takes forever for the air pressure in the tank to go down so I know it is a slow leak. I removed the turbo and hpop cover and found air leaking from a hole on the hpop. What is this hole for? Is there supposed to be a plug or something there? http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v514/GeoStormRS/?action=view¤t=2013-09-26_18-39-49_46_zpscfa12a31.jpg

Not sure but could it be the port the IPR uses to bypass the oil back to the crank case? This could be verified by energizing the IPR and charging the system with air then deenergize the IPR and see if the air flow increases through that port.

IIRC it's normal to get some air out of the hole in the pump. Did you energize the IPR valve with 12V to do the air test? Have you tried to start it since you replaced the cup seals and injector seals?

I have ran it since repairs, still have hot no start issues. Have not tried air test with yipr energized. Will do this evening though
