I agree that it looks big enough... in the picture.... away from a truck... and maybe fits a SRW truck instead of a DRW truck. That's why I want to know the length and width measurements.

But it is a nice looking frame.

I took pics and measurements. Still trying to add pics to my" garage". I just have to reduce the file size. As far as the measurements, from outside to outside, the width is 79 1/2, & the length is 93 1/2 on the frame ( outside 2 outside), & 98in from the outer most edges of the brackets. Hope that helps. I can take more measurements on all the mounting points if needed. If I can't reduce file size on pics, I can just send the pics to a regular email address. Just send me a pm or post email on a reply.

OK, thanks for checking the dimensions. I had a feeling a bed from an F3 wouldn't fit an F4.

That's actually wide enough for my truck, but it's too short. I need a 9 foot bed, and yours is 8 feet long. That is a fine looking bed though, and I'm sure someone will want to get that from you.

And I could have picked it up and saved the shipping costs... oh well...

Joe, it's only a foot difference. I'm sure you can find a creative way of filling the gap. It's right under your nose.

The bed pictured is considerably different that one designed for the F4. Width appears to be the same but the number of cross members and side stake pockets are different. I agree that it could be modified to work and look good on an F4 but it would involve some work.

ok, I added 2 pics in my " garage" one is taken from front side of bed, the other is a close up of the Ford script, taken from INSIDE of the frame to show that Ford is just not painted on but stamped into the metal.

The 9' bed for an F4 and larger truck would be 87 3/8" wide, at least that is what mine measures overall. I'm not sure the F2-F3 bed would fit over the duals.

Take a look at this drawing. It shows the bed is 87.3" wide and is slightly narrower than the wheelbase.

Boy, if you weren't 1,700 miles away I would start measuring to see if it would fit on my 55 F250. Hopefully someone will snag this up soon.

Joe, I'll have to measure mine again tomorrow. Looking at the drawing, it looks like the frame rail is cutting into the outside tires.

Hey Art,

I'm still interested. I sent you an email tonight.

Hope you have a safe and fun time bringing in the New Year.

We need to talk about this bed. It's 16" too short for my truck, but maybe I can modify it.

Let's talk next year.

Well there you go! Perfect project for your welding class.
It's next year now. Have you worked out the details yet?

Hey Joe,,,
Seems like I haven't heard from you since last year.. I just recently picked up a welder myself and it's amazing the things I can modify now. Forgot you needed a longer bed. Yes, I think it's totally possible to extend ( shorten-widen-thin down-etc) this bed to whatever you need. Hopefully it will work out . Talk to you soon

Art
