Supporter membership
OK, after all these years I finally broke down and bought a membership to FTE. I bought the membership over a week ago via PayPal and yet to receive my "Supporter" icon under my name and any of the benefits. It's not like I'm holding my breath for the promised T-shirt, or whatever other premium that is promised and seems like no one gets. I would think in this age of instant electronic payments it would be a matter of only a few hour, maybe a day or two at most before I see something but nothing. I emailed the FTE head office yesterday inquiring about it but I guess my request might have gotten lost in the electronic mail. Their system seemed to accept my payment almost instantly.
Just wanted to know from other member how long it took for their membership to kick in. Watch, as soon as I post this the "Supporter" icon will show up. Maybe I just shocked them because I've gone so long being cheap and not buying a membership.

I found it necessary to ask a moderator for help. I don't remember now which one I asked (I think it was Morris), but I got an immediate reply to my PM, and was "official" the next day.

Bob, is there anybody on here that has been active longer than you? You must be REALLY old. You'll love the sleek and clean look of the supporter screen. It's loads in a fraction of the time required for the non-supporter page.

I've here almost from the start, I think some time in '96, although it says "2001". I've been a cheap SOB all these years and finally cracked open the ol' PayPal.
