Seat Covers or continually Condition and Clean the leather seats??

I have a 2005 F350 DRW King Ranch Edition. It's in excellent condition with only 70k miles on it and the previous owner took good care of it.

I want to put some Mossy Oak seat covers on it because I know the leather is going to take a beating. Link: Coverking Neosupreme Mossy Oak Camo Seat Covers - Best Mossy Oak Camouflage Car Seat Covers for Trucks & SUVs ... My coworker would like to shoot me dead if I go and cover up the King Ranch leather!! I have 3 small kids (under 10 yrs) and mainly use the truck for every day driver. Next Spring we plan to get a 5th wheel and do some camping!!

What do you do or what would you recommend? Seat Covers or clean and condition??

Coworkers come and go. Do what you want. I didn't cover my leather and wish I did.

I don't have an answer for you but I've been thinking the same thing about covering my Lariat leather seats. I really don't like the feel of leather and prefer something cloth. Hope some good suggestions come along.

Unless your coworker is helping to pay for the truck and its maintenance, do what you think is right for you. I have a 2001 SD Lariat with cloth seats that the original owner put FORD OEM vinyl seat covers on ... and I'm glad he did. Underneath the seats look brand new and I love it. ~ Bugjr ~

Where I come from (the south)

new leather seats are beautiful and smell good. That's all the good about it.

Leather seats are also cold in the winter, hot in the summer, and cause lots of worries about maintaining them. I'd put BREATHABLE TYPE covers on them then at resale remove them so the next owner can ohhh and ahhhh. I'd also launder the old covers and include them in the sale as they likely will come to the same conclusion.

Another purchasing option (better prices/same product): look towards https://www.headwatersseatcovers.com...rsus_index.asp

You are absolutly correct in having a valued opinion

"i do not care what it looks like for the next person"

How do you feel about suffering a $2000 deduction on your vehicle come trade in time because the leather is poor, worn, torn? And knowing that it was preventable.

If this were a Corvette, sure, leather all the way. But let's not lose sight that this is a truck and will be used as such. Anyways....

I would never cover my leather seats. I condition them twice a year,(it only takes about an hour) and yes, they are "seasoned"
