It must be smoother than it looks.
I equated it to washing a homes textured ceiling.

Its kind of a "popcorn" texture... but looks rougher than it is. When wet... this stuff sprays clean like teflon. If it gets really bad from Yahoo's walking all over my hood... after i clean the rifle... i will power wash it lol

Bugs and general road grime will rinse right off.

I can set it up to do the texture however i want...
Gritty and crumbled like my hood,
Or smooth as a clear coat. And anywhere in between...

I can even spray down the goo...
Then hit it with say a coat of black calcium silicate sand for a grip tape look/effect.
I bought a serious commercial type "start a bedliner business" setup.

Looks good so far. Hope the frame shop goes well. If you were not so far I would take you up on the spraying bedliner stuff

Do you have a line for the double din mount? Going that way in a little bit and like the look of that better then what I have seen.

Thanks Brother Seth.

I actually dont have a mounting kit in for the stereo just yet.
Its just kinda wedged in there until i can make some kind of bracketry work.
I ended up shoehorning the stereo in behind the connector on the factory harness. Could not find an adapter dongle... i got another one of these head units for The Wierdo's new (03) crown vic cop car retiree. They had a doo hickey for that one go figure lol.

If i come up with some thing i can replicate i can maybe make you one Seth.
The model # of the unit i got is:
Pyle PLDN73i

To get the dvd to play on them... just run "parking" to ground.
It actually sounds about 200% better than the last "dedicated" audio unit that was in it.
It has crystal crisp response all the way through where the last one would loose it at the drop of a hat. No distortion.. no fuzz. Bass is nice and clean... auto ranges the sub output to main volume. Dont know that i will ever have a need for the remote control tho lol.

It makes incredibly better use of the factory speakers.
I actually had to reach back and feel my subs because i thought they were firing...
(Before i had hooked them up!)

So far i am very pleased with it.
Played "evil dead" on it to break in the dvd player.
Great picture for a 7in screen.

Looking great Chris.

So with the bed liner kit, can you color match, or black only? And how well would it bind to the bumpers?

Jeff,

Yes i can color match.
I will need to know ahead of time so i can order the stuff.
What i have right now is black.
I can get pre-colored or clear and mix in color matched paint.
It should bind to the bumpers and chrome as well as it does on painted surfaces.
Its all in the prep
All in the prep...
(Watching happy gillmore right now so )

It is permanent. It would take an air chisel to remove it effectively.
Very tough stuff once its cured.

Looks good. Bed liner is what I planning on doing next year after the suspension gets re-done. One of my friends works at an auto body shop, so he will be doing the work. Forgot what brand of material he is going to use, but its going to be a complete tear down to apply like paint work and tinted to match the factory colors. Seeing yours im getting kind of anxious.

I may consider bumpers and nerf bars down the road. Possibly even the bottom tone black. I was thinking maybe the tailgate getting done to match the beige. I need a transmission first though...

So i got a little more accomplished...
Fit my gauge pods and set the gauges where they will be...
Not hooked up just yet.

I know... the lighting sux. But it works to show the pods and drivers view of the hood.

Getting loaded up...

Yes its the same company, truck, and driver who picked her up at the accident.

Goin down the road...

Now what on earth could I have been driving while taking this picture... lol

Got an update today.
She has been thoroughly fondled and measured.
The shift to the passenger's side we knew about.
The slight upward shift shows up in the measurements.

The guy says he is still confident in our original estimates.
She goes on the rack first thing in the morning.(oh i hope i hope i hope!)

With a little luck on my side ill have her back on the road by this weekend.

Brother Jeff...
I have pretty much a whole month left to watch money evaporate...

It just might be injector time...
Wwgen2 time
New boots time...
At least 1new front hub is sitting on the floor next to me...
New degas bottle... you know what that means... ELC Time!

Probably going to end up doing most of that at the gtg.
Hopefully there arent many financial emergencies between now and then...

I will go with Clay's wheel.
Nothing against the other guys... but Clay has been there for me and my customers.
Any time i have a question... i can get him on the phone.
I have no experience with dieselsite or their products beyond the writeup i read about their billet wheel tests.

My thoughts exactly. It doesn't matter to me who's is better, I trust that Clay wouldn't carry a wheel he didn't stand behind. The only thing that diesel site has above clay that I've seen is the coolant filter setup. I've flushed mine enough in the past year I shouldn't need to filter anything lol
