This was granddads old standby till 1963 or so . It got pulled behind the place and rested there for 50 years . I was probably around 3 or 4 years old and got in on the last ride . Engine was probably weak . Today it got loaded up and is available . I don't want to make this look like a for sale ad but sure hate to hear it went to a salvage yard . Maybe a p.m. would work for any info .
1963 was the same year my old 46 was shoved into a barn and forgotten about. Shame it has to go, hopefully to a good home for sure. If not for the long drive I'd probably consider this 47 as the front sheet metal appears in better shape than mine.
the front grill , hood ,fenders still have good potential for usage even if the metal has a few splits along the edge . Didn't look the floor pans over good but the back of the cab had the usual rust out at the corners and was not real bad .
If this old truck sat out for 50 years its unbelievable that it has little to no hail damage . The glass had damage from other reasons . And the spot where it sat was in a hog pasture . Maybe the hogs kept it polished up .
Found out that what I always thought was a 47 Ford was in fact a 1946 Ford truck .......
