Seat exchange

Does anyone know if there would be a problem installing 2001 seats into a 1998 expedition? Thanks

the only problem I see is the memory feature might not work and the 2000+ don't have arm rest so you will have to get the bigger centerconsole

Thanks, I am mostly concerned with a straight swap and all the bolt holes lining up.

Bolt holes will all line up, but wiring may be different. I did this with my '97 when I had it, but I put '02 in mine so yours may be different. I can't remember the details but it wasn't real hard getting it wired to work. As far as the arm rest go you can take the seat frame from the back of your old seats and use them with the leather from the new seats and reinstall the arm rests (you will have to cut a hole for the arm rest mount).
