Ok...so i have searched and not really found an ironclad answer to my issue.
my 96 auto has a naw4 processer..i got an. old hypertech single tune chip. i thought i had tde1 program like the chip is for..i tried the tde1 chip in my naw4 and nope..no running.. so..bill loaned me a tde0 processor. i havent tried it but does anyone have any thoughts on tde1 vs tde0???
i think it should work???
I've switched some chips between PCMs, but never specifically a TDE1 and NAW4 I don't think.. Some chips have to be burnt for specific PCM codes, but the TS style 4 bank chips are not one of those. If the chip Bill gave you is a 4 bank TS style chip for the same trans as yours, it should work in your PCM even if it's a TDE0 or a TDE1. On the tan OBS I've posted a few pics of while I work on it here and there, I have him running a chip for a TDE1 on his NAW6 PCM IIRC.
FYI, TDEx and NAWx are all in the same DPC-202 PCM family.
Its an old gold hypertech. jason was good enough too throw it my way. i got the tdeo from bill. i think it will work...just hoping for someone smarters opinion lol
i have no basis of knowledge but am trying to learn.
travis.i did find the family similariliity but didn't know within them if it would work.the tde1 chip in naw4 did not start and no wts.

I'm not familiar enough with those old chips to know for sure if they'll cross between flashes. I know that a TS chip will do exactly what you're trying to do. That's all I know. LOL
