I have a 2010 F-250 6.4, noticed a rough ride in the front, was looking under and noticed the front bump stops were resting on the axle, there is no gap. is this normal? I would think not seeing as there is no suspension.
lets hope not, I just bought the truck less than 30 days ago, has been in ford shop for tie rod replacement, also noticed a ready lift bracket holding the panard bar on the drivers side, but not seeing any other components for a leveling kit.
I was thinking the springs were bad too. Its going into ford shop tomorrow
I've seen it before, but the spring collapse was induced by someone heating the coil springs to lower the suspension. It wasn't on a Super Duty, but the results were the same.
Thinking about it (since you mentioned evidence of a Redi-Lift was found) I bet the lift kit was removed, but the lift kit bump stops were not replaced.
How many miles on it? I would just get some shackles and let'm bend. They actually have some life because the bumper is about 2".
He can't get shackles for the front Brent; all Super Duties from 2005-present have coil springs up front.
If you see a ready lift bracket then it's certain that your suspension has been monkeyed with. If you're resting on the stops then this could be a safety issue, as something is definitely wrong.

Dam, that's what I get for venturing into the Super Duty forum.......

That would be the most logical explanation, can you post any pics of the stops?
