ok I replaced fuel pump, filter, fuel presser regulater. 2001 e450 unabody, v10, runs great for about 40 to 60 miles, then bank 1 starts running leen. I lose power, speed and I have to pump it to build up speed. If I stop and let it sit with the motor off, it starts an runs normal again about 40 to 60 miles. I do not have a clue, or a truck load of $$$$$ any ideals ???? I am a disabled Vet, I use the truck as a RV and go where there are other VETS and share my story of how I got the VA to help me. I have been local, but afraid to go too far. Thanks for the help.
Others with much more expertise will chime in, but the O2 sensor and MAP sensor cleaning/replacement might help. Also, when were your plugs and coils last changed?
Next time it bogs down, safely pull over then CAREULLY open the gas cap and listen for any "woosh" of air going into the tank. You *might* have a clogged fuel tank vent that's causing the tank to go into vacuum and thus starve the engine of fuel. If it happens more frequently with a full tank (who has one of those anymore), it would happen more quickly.
Leave the O2 sensors alone, your truck doesn't have a MAP sensor, and COPS/plugs will not heal themselves just by turning the engine off.
