Everywhere I've looked and researched none were made from the factory prior to 1973. Having said that, I have seen several and currently have a 72 highboy with a C-6 Automatic. Mine was a NP 435 4 speed and I did the switch myself. I used a C-6 from a 72 F-250 and put a tail-shaft from a 73 250 4WD, it had the correct mounts for the 4WD lever and no hole for the speedometer cable. I used a steering column from a 68 F250, I put my 72 center shaft in the steering column and also used the 68 linkage rods. Everything worked perfect, you cannot tell it was not factory installed. I reused the rear transmission cross-member and rubber mount, it just had to be moved back about two inches, just drilled out the rivets, drilled new holes and bolted it back it.
