I'm wanting to put some window crank handles for a late 60s Bronco in my truck because these are 100% metal and really slick in style (ford factory style but with a metal ****). Will they fit on my 97 F250?
1973/79 Ranchero / 1974/79 Cougar F/R doors / 1977/79 LTD II (not an LTD!) F/R doors / 1977/79 Thunderbird.
Junkyards...get 'em from the rear doors of sedans, far better condition .. far less usage.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EarlyBronco: 1966 used the same window crank handle as 1961/66 trucks, retained to window regulator w/a set screw located on side of handle.
1967 handle 1967 only. 1968/77 handle came without the ****, as 5 different colors were offered. To install **** on handle: Place handle in vise, insert **** on front of handle, place retainer on backside, then squeeze the parts together.
I gave customers this installation process EVERY TIME I sold one a these ***** (also used on 1968/72 cars, 1969/72 Econolines).
Some people didn't "get it" placed **** on outside of handle, retainer on backside, laid handle on the ground or work bench, then hit the **** w/a HAMMER.
Many came back the next day and bought another, because the **** had shattered. I had warned them beforehand that this would happen.
So are the 68-77 bronco splines the same size?... That's all I need to know
I don't know, parts catalogs doesn't list this kind of info. But, consider that the **** doesn't come with the handle (unless you buy a user), and the PITA rigmarole you have to go thru to install the ****.
