Hi Guys , Just wondering what you put in your tanks as an additive to the diesel when you let your truck sit for a while. I picked up a jeep for a commuter to work ( and a little fun ) so the truck is sitting a bit. I try to start it up at least once a week but I definitely need to find an additive for it. It wouldn't stay running the other day, run ruff and die. I have used Diesel Kleen in the past in the winter months to keep the diesel from congealing . Any thoughts ?????
I have left diesels sit for months (including my 7.3) and they have started and ran just like before I put them into storage. Most important thing is to have a full tank and no moisture in the tank. No moisture and no air leads to easy starting and no fungi/bacterial growth. Put a battery tender on it too...
