the inline pwr steering addon filter is a great idea, saves big $$ bucks if a hose has internal "rubber" breakdown, particles would otherwise recirculate around and around thru pump, valves and pistons damaging pump, seals and valves and generally plugging everything up, costly repair.
main reason that hi risk/ hi cost power steering systems-racing and trucking have went to teflon lined stainless steel hoses, last longer than vehicle.
